Success Stories:

There are so many great examples of how Reach for Youth staff have helped some challenged young people reach success. Here are a few. We will continue to be adding new stories and occasionally offering updates to past stories. Please return over time to review them.

Therapy for Victims of Abuse

Reach for Youth has therapists who have specialized training to work with children and adolescents with a history of physical abuse, sexual abuse, and/or neglect. Treatment may be recommended in individual, family or group therapy.

Treatment is focused on understanding past trauma and how that can affect current thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Youth and families involved in this type of treatment learn about healthy ways to cope with previous trauma, the dynamics of healthy relationships and how to add support systems that lessen the impact of these traumas in the future.
