Group Prevention Services and Workshops develop positive social skills that promote healthy and safe behaviors. Subjects include Substance Use and Abuse, Healthy Relationships in the Digital Age, Peer Pressure, Conflict Resolution and Violence Prevention and Human Trafficking “What Would I Do?”.
The shoplift workshop is an interactive class that will help youth meet their referral requirements. The curriculum is designed to provide youth with the necessary tools that they need to make positive changes in their lives and develop a stronger sense of accountability, responsibility and respect for themselves and others to stop shoplifting permanently.
The workshop uses appropriate learning methodologies including group activities, personal reflection, and group discussion. Workshops are highly interactive in nature and presenters are both insightful and engaging.

Who can be referred?
Youth may be referred to the shoplifting workshop by local juvenile probation departments, middle and high schools, police officers, other agencies, and self-referrals
In order to be eligible for the workshop the following conditions must be met:
Disagreements are inevitable and can lead to serious disputes. To move through conflict in a healthy and peaceful manner, youth need the tools to express their emotions and perspectives, while remaining open to hearing other points of view as well. Participants of this workshop will learn and practice conflict resolution skills and strategies that will equip them to de-escalate future conflicts in a positive way.

To be eligible for the workshop the following conditions must be met:
Workshops begin promptly at 4:30 p.m.
We ask all participants to arrive between 4:00 p.m. and 4:15 p.m.
Parents will need to accompany the child during sign in and need to be back to pick up at 6:00 p.m.

There is a $60.00 fee for the conflict and conversion workshops.
